General Health
Medical
conditions can effect your dental health and
visa versa; therefore, your overall well being
is very important to us. Our office works
closely with your family physician or medical
specialist in providing you with safe and
comfortable care.
A
comprehensive medical history and blood pressure
screening is recorded and updated regularly.
When scheduling appointments, inform us of any
recent test, medical or medication changes, and
allergies.

Blood pressures are taken on all our patients
yearly for a baseline, before treatment
requiring anesthetic, or on patients with a high
baseline. As a health care provider, Dr.
Rosenbaum is responsible to inform patients if
their blood pressure is high.
Patients are asked to monitor their blood
pressure and inform their family doctor if the
baseline is in the high-normal or high range.
In some cases, extensive dental treatment may be
cancelled.
Many times specific medical requests
are sent to the patient's family doctor or
specialist to inquire about medical problems or
medication. This information is necessary to
provide our patient with safe dental care.
There are some patient's who are required to
take a particular dosage of antibiotics prior to
dental work because of a valve
replacement or a recent joint replacement. Dr.
Rosenbaum and his team members will explain this
necessity to our patients.
